Pieces of My Heart

A piece of me I give to you, that I have never given to another.
Not wanting only half of you in return, but the whole heart of you I earned.
I never forced my genuine care upon you, you sought it out, yet you push me away.
I stay.
I stay because I enjoy the way my heart bleeds with you.
I stay because my heart beats for you.
Now i drown in the blood that forever freely flows from it.
A piece of me I gave to you, because you took the others and smashed them.
piece by piece I give away, piece by piece I break away.
Piece by piece...and yet I still stay.
