"PASSIN' THROUGH"

Don't mind me...I was just passin' through....
And between me and you, I have to say ...
Not really enjoying my view...
Black unity....seems to be...
A thing of the past, yeah, that's history
What a great honor, to those who paid a high ass price...
For our liberation in America... Many paid with their life...
They envisioned us finishing high school,.. And going to college...
We don't....
They saw us proudly casting our votes...
We won't...

So, why should I seem bothered?
Hell, why should you?
Don't mind me ...I'm just passin' through...

Our black men do exercise their right to go back and forth and back and forth to jail...
Say they ain't workin' for no minimum wage... But go work for free--in hell...

Young black kings ...killing each other on the street...
Instead of a promising future... Its death that they meet...

And civil rights?...Have become civil mights...
because we rarely see equal protection under the law...
Something America just seems to accept...
A serious and untamed flaw...
Treyvon,  a black, UNARMED teenager--executed...
the bastard responsible, not even disputed....arrested, bonded, then piss poorly prosecuted...

"Self-defense", is the reason he gave them...
How in the hell is that possible when you FOLLOWED AND KILLED HIM????
But, that's just the way it is right?
Yeah, nothing here is new...
So, don't mind me, I was just passin' through
