Coroner/Time

Shuffling down a corridor
Blood welling up between my toes
My makeup is smeared like a crank forerunner
A carnal drive to survive prevents me from looking over my shoulder
But I remember the mangled lips like a deflowered rose
That inhabit the face of the coroner
A time rendered affliction festers within his pores (the beholder)

I can’t let go of the cradle bars
One hundred years pass
I’ve lost myself among the stars
The faster I crawl along these blades
The longer this murder lasts
Abrase my skin until it mars
Sear through me with eyes of jade

This infection burns
A throbbing pain that’s devoured by
The emptiness that I continually learn
Is there even when I consume
That which is my
Minute satisfaction, in turn
My own reality crumbles when I try to resume

The coroner has spiked the punch
With the blood of a past murder
To prepare for me a pus grunge
That lubricates my vestal throat
So life can fuck me into a torpor
My vertebrae will scrunch
And grind until they’re separated in time by bloat
