The Connection
I want to turn on the faucet
with certainty I’ve payed my dues
that feelings are watertight, rattling
water hammer pulse to my heart
like a home with bad plumbing.
Constant thoughts that flow
like quicksilver streams
from inseparable minds
overflowing the bathtub
when she slides in
we align.
This poem was written for the "what do you want?" comp.

Now that would be perfect - love like a tap! Unfortunately not just them but we too are part of the plumbing and that's often where the connection fucks up! Great "want" and tight write though and best in the Comp

If we read a book of plumbing specifications, one would think it was a bloke's guide to love and sex... plumbers can be blunt. "Yep, your stop cocks rooted and the pee trap is choked and all your hooper valves and 'O' rings are well and truly fucked and need to be replaced to stop the leaks."
Maybe I shouldn't have taken advice from my plumber... sex on tap is just a plumbing wet dream.

If only love could flow that freely...following the pathway of least resistance---direct, with no divergence(no 'leaks in the pipes LOL!)
