Color Me Red
Dont color me pink like a a peach
For even in the snow I'm tan as can be
Now dont go calling me white
Cuz baby white has no delight to my ears
I'm tanner then this here piece of paper dear
I can dance to the sound of leather drums
Give me that red marker I'll color myself
I dont need my life cut short
Just because I don't look the way you want me to
Cut my skin if you want it white
Cut off the tan cut off the color
For I wasn't born that way
Color me red as red as the sunset
Color me red and sing with me
Color us red if that'll make you feel better
About you lily white self
But color me red as I dance to the beat of the tribes
Color me red if that's what you all want
Color me tan if that's what will make you see
'That white isn't what I happen to be
For even in the snow I'm tan as can be
Now dont go calling me white
