Butterflies

Butterflies
Are made
Of summer wind
And crumpled paper,
A miniscule
Masterpiece
Of colored tissue
And feather filaments,
Prim and perfect polygons
Gently floating,
Dipping, soaring,
Skimming away with
Every breeze—
Each a
Lovely little
Culmination
Of summer wind
And crumpled paper.
