Thank You Fireman Bob (a salute to all)

Fireman Bob is gone.
He was here yesterday
holding my hand
showing me around the firehouse
he was so big and strong
my little hand felt so safe.
He let me try on his helmet
and sat me in the big red fire truck
letting me ring the bell as much as I wanted
Oh, I was excited
jumping up and down,screaming with joy
then I gave Fireman Bob the biggest hug I could
filled with happiness and love
and I told him...
Thank you Fireman Bob
for making me feel so safe
you are and will always be my hero.
