Eastern Skies
(This one's for you, Grace, and for your country's Flight 370)
They are there,
In the East,
The ones who have gone on
Like seeds on the wind
And puffs from dandilions.
Their skies are wide open now,
Clear,
With endless possibilities
As they soar within a new plane.
The seeds alight in the soils of Heaven—
They are without boundaries,
Ready to bring forth their blooms
In the palm of God.
Look to the rising sun
And see them dance among the horizons,
Free from all in this world
That held their spirits back.
Their shimmers intensify the painted skies,
Bridging the gap between Heaven and Earth,
As we bid adieu,
Godspeed, with new wings.
They are there,
In the East,
The ones who have gone on
Like seeds on the wind
And puffs from dandilions.
Their skies are wide open now,
Clear,
With endless possibilities
As they soar within a new plane.

Ready to bring forth their blooms
In the palm of God.
Look to the rising sun

Free from all in this world
That held their spirits back.
Their shimmers intensify the painted skies,
Bridging the gap between Heaven and Earth,
As we bid adieu,
Godspeed, with new wings.
