The Fittest

linear
transience
pummels
relentlessly

enzymes
viscerally
recoil
as
concurrent
events
endlessly
parade
in rampant
spiraling
malignancy

yes

inferior
linear
transience
from womb
through tomb
arriving
at uncertain
nothingness
whose potential
for
comfort
and blessed release
still wallows
in nervous faith
and
impermeable secrecy

meanwhile
the purest US
the endangered
the "un-contacted"
somehow remain
blessedly spared
from centuries
of systemic
industrial mutation
and social mutilation
almost solely due
to the economic infeasibility
of messing with them

who knows?
perhaps
they are not
so achingly oblivious
during their
same terrestrial muddle
though infinitely
more graceful
and less cluttered

they relate
their world is embraced
not re-arranged
they remain of
the circle
that spins their
universe
their evolution
as ours
is at pinnacle

however

delicate providence
has allowed them
to balance
the scale
