Disintegration
The color of the world fades
Into the monochromatic abyss
The remnants of humanity still lingers
Behind the shadows of the fallen,
Lock them in, don't let anyone know
Blend with your surroundings, blend in the crowd
Become the part of the monotonous legion.
Work hard, work with much more vigor
Dedicate your life to perfection
Because that is all you can seek for
In this sea brimming with perverse maggots
You will find fabricated tranquility
In the fortunes and fame,
You will find gratification
In this "give-and-take" game.
When you close your eyes all you'll see
Is velvet darkness,devoid of dreams
You'll feel it's closure, you'll feel it's embrace
Pulling you down into the endless depths.
And when you wake up,
You'll grow more impassive with passing day,
Unwavering and undeviating
Like the concrete four cornered walls that enclose you
And with each passing day the concrete will seep
Into your bloodstream and spread
Contaminating like cancer throughout your body
Underneath the flesh you wear,
Tearing and shredding through the layers
Into the very core of your soul.
And then you will find yourself
Wearing the mask of joviality
Unbroken and unshakable
Winning the affection of the crowd.
But behind this concrete mask that you wear
You'll find dawning of cracks
And the longer you hide behind the veil
The more it'll deepen, rupturing and breaking.
One day you'll try to take off the disguise
But it'll stay there, cemented on your flesh
And the visage that you assumed was flawless
Will start to disintegrate and collapse,
Revealing the pathetic nature of your existence
But the world will remain aloof by the smile on the mask
While you'll be remained caged and enslaved behind the treacherous veil
And just like the others your soul will cease to exist,
Decaying away in this rapacious world.
