Fountain of Wisdom

As I climbed a mountain
I found a fountain
With water so clear
I saw my reflection as if it were a mirror

As I drank from it I felt wiser
My mind was opened wider
And a message began to sink in
My heart was deepened
So now I will show
A secret to life everyone should know:


'Ignore the ignorance of others
Be patient with their impatience
Always react with an opposite
Emotion when conflict is created
Whenever you get angry
Restrain yourself and wear a smile
When you feel particularly lazy
Go out and run ten miles
Never show you're tired
And exhausted from fatigue
Whenever you are sick
Never show you're weak
Always mask your feelings deep inside
People always admire
Those who carry themselves with pride
Be kind to those who wrong you
To show everyone
Nothing can break your spirit
Until your task in life is done...'
