...I HEAR YOU SAY

“Shall we make love?” I hear you say,
As we put crockery away.
I nod, say “Yes” without delay.
To the bedroom we chase our way.
There, clothes on backs no longer stay.

Our naked glory we display
As if sculpted from finest clay.
(Though we are both turning grey,
Our much remembered wedding day
Is some years in the past away.)

Role of Eve and Adam we play;
I take an apple off the tray.
We share bites, throw the core away.
Our hands upon each other stray
In the beginnings of love play.

Soon your entry I can’t delay.
Like stallion you, joking, bray.
We dive into the bed, to lay.
On back or front, my legs I splay
To let us have our ‘wicked’ way.

Consumed by lust, we’re well away;
Our rocking makes the headboard sway.
My inner walls with seed you spray,
Your sperm heads the uterine way.
We lie close in the after-play.

In post-coital bliss we lay;
Forever that way we could stay
Until the coming break of day,
When to our jobs we go away –
But look forward to a replay.
