That's L-E-G-Y-N-D its spelled
I became Legynd when I robbed Kyra of her youth
I dressed up her adolescence in miniskirts and tight jeans
But buried her brain under pounds of make up
But Legynd survived
Adorning rope burns around her neck
From where Kyra dangled within inches of her life
Suspended at highs that her 5" heals could not compensate for
They whispers around about her being the town whore
And she started to believe the hype
Only searching for that Sunday love but she seemed to never make it past Saturday night
But Legynd survived
Kyra was the arsonist to her own dream
Realizing her mistakes she started snorting the ashes
Hoping to find one last high in hopes to salvage life from all the damages
But she just couldn't handle it
Settling for bottom of the barrel because she had fallen from her top shelf
Thinking that VIP status and free into the club was her biggest accomplishment
Because pretty faces and tight bodies seem to stereotype as incompetence
But Legynd survived
When I was perpetually ostracized for being a "mut"
I bound myself to the confines of my mind
Only allowing Kyra out to sin
Clubs and bars where my temples
Where I worship vial substances to impair my judgment
So that I could tell myself that it was ok to serve 2 masters
Trying to distort my vision with my 4th or 5th shot of rum
I danced with the devil often
Injecting tequila directly into my blood stream
My spirit was soiled with the memories
Of how I robbed Kyra of her youth
But Legynd survived
Birthed from sinful ashes she emerged
With a voice that crashed greater than the thunders of my lord
Now she walks with the sun upon her face and the devil under her feet
Because she is a walking testimony
Legynd survived
And my pen and parchment was my vessel of resurrection
No longer seeking affection and attention
Because my presence demands it
Not from my flesh but my ora
