I'll chain myself to a star
What I thought I'd do was
I'd wait here patiently
Until the time is right
And then chain myself to a star
And bring her down to me
So we'd be together
Not even 'til death we do part'
We'd be Heathcliff and Cathy
My trapped angel, fallen star
I'd adore her
So what if she dislikes me
I'll change that, through passion
Through hellfire relentless
I'll wait here patiently
And then chain myself to a star
Why Shouldn't I?
I'd wait here patiently

I would love to do just the same thing. Only I would neither wait for the time to be right no hope to bring her down to me. I will do everything now to chain myself to a star and allow ourselves fall up, up to eternity.

I put the last line "Why shouldn't I?" to give the impression that the mind is still not made up and still a bit restless.

You've just listed all the things I try to express in my work, the epitome. But you did miss 'passion' but I'll forgive that and work on it.

if this were true that we could grasp a star and that be our one true one then maybe things maybe different...

Oh, don't cash in all those chips just yet, romance isn't quite dead. We're all surrounded by stars, just need the right sight to look at them looking at us. I'm flattered that you'd mention this to anyone!

Et tu? Well I'm less a case of not being excepted as almos being ignored. David means 'beloved' but though its good that I may be beloved by my friends, they can't quite be that special person who keeps me warm at night in winter and sit with in a cool summer.

Its nice that people are chaining themselves to this, seems I've found something that people can connect with; a long chain!
