One Foot Outta Hell

So I guess this is what it feels like
To not want to be dead but not know where to go.
So I guess this is goodbye for you and I;
To hesitate is to remove your doubt that I just don't know.

To be or not to be was never the question,
The question was how long were we to be before we were to be not.
To live or to just die is never the question,
The question is how will I live so that your heart will remember me when the whole world's forgot.

And I'd take a step toward anything if that step brought one foot outta hell,
And I'd walk a mile in the dark, guided by some random star if it were a mile from my old self.

But now I know I cannot run from myself,
And if I tried you'd hunt me down and bring me back,
But I'm running anyway, and I guess that time will tell,
And if I lose then maybe I'll run again, this time on the right track.
