We Decided

We pick what is beautiful,
They say their all beautiful,
So why do only some of them get picked,
You all lie,
You save feelings,
You don't pick them because they're better as a friend?,
Not your taste? ,
No. It's cause they're not like the rest,
They're only looked at as a friend,
they're not beautiful,
Taste in humans isn't personality ,
We are superficial ,
Taste, taste is appearance,
But unlike our tongues ,
Our so called hearts, have eyes ,
And they don't even take a bite,
Of what could be the sweetest relationship they've ever had,
Thanks for being superficial humanity,
You've made life so unfair,
We've grown to expect it that way,
What happened to 200 years ago when they said we should have equal rights,
Did that idea just die,
Or is our opinion so important we've pushed equality to the side,
What have we done,
We made looking good more important then being good,
We made saying things wrong, right,
We've made our hearts from our brains and now most of them don't care about the person inside as long as the package is pretty,
Why have we let not only our products quality drop,
But our humanity's too,
Why are most of us striving to be perfect,
When if all of us never made a standard for perfect,
Those Innocent people could just be them selves
