*This is a passage in a book I want to publish one day. The main character, Lacey, is at her boyfriend's house having a horror marathon where she falls asleep and her dreams reveals something very interesting*
The background morphs into a forest,
I'm now wearing a beautiful white filmy
dress. I laugh, Jaxon is chasing me. I try
to hide behind a tree, but he catches me
by the waist and kisses me. When I look
back at him, horror turns my blood cold.
His face is now quite grotesque. Frail and
ghostlike, a chunk missing from his cheek,
a halo of maggots crawling around his head,
he also has a massive chunk of his neck
missing. I look down at his arm, it’s now a
bone and it’s gripping me tighter and tighter.
I scream. Now i’m falling through a black hole.
Phantoms and vampires from my past jump
out at me, my dreams now plagued with
nightmares and mutilated creatures. They
are all against me, trying to torture me, kill
me. Their terrifying growls morph into laughter
and screams. My screams. All the faces are painted
with malice-laced grins, faces I recognized. Faces,
I never wanted to see again. I let out a hair-raising
scream.
