A unicorn’s dream

I am an azure unicorn
And I do not believe in humans
Or love that keeps you warm in the cold

I believe in frostbite
And werewolves that bleed with the moon
While tearing holes into your souls

I have many souls to sell
And many hearts in my chest to break
While searching for peace

I ran for cover the first day
You were going going gone
Like that baseball to the sky
Or the river we set by
That dried up in my dreams

Okay is not in my vocabulary
Because most days it seems
Everything is falling to Hades
And he just chuckles when I scream

Sometimes I hope you have my unicorn dreams
And sometimes I hope those dreams become nightmares
And those nightmares become demons
That devour your corpse in the evening

Sometimes I hope for a season of peace
When all that comes is more bleeding
And know I am not lying when I say
My blood taste like bombs on Palestine today

Insert your soul into my hands
And your heart into my own
So that we can know the meaning of love
And what a human really is

I do not believe in peace
But I do believe Death comes
To teach us how to live
