Juliet Today

It's about time that I tell someone about a broken girl named Juliet. As an adolescent, this shell of a being started a new hobby. You see this hobby was dangerous and required long sleeves. Not only did these long sleeves cover self-inflicted wounds of despair, but bruises caused by Lord Capulet. Now Lord and Lady Capulet were breaking the sacred "til death do us part," so Lord Capulet turned to bottles and beating. Poor little Juliet was left to fend for herself and her loved ones.  She lived in fear of disappointment, abandonment, solitude, and shame. Whenever she sought refuge in the 'safe' sanctuary of the many 'Prince Charmings,' they always found a way to break her to pieces. Raped by two, molested by some, hit by many. From one offender came a bittersweet child-bearing. This gave Juliet a reason to live, but that reason came and went just like the wind. Voices of the evil Montagues possessed Juliet to do relapse into old hobbies and drug-indused comas. She was whisked away to the palace for all those who had the common interest. Upon release, with palms full of prescriptions, nothing had changed. Life within the walls of the castle held secrets of utter disgust and regret, but projected nothing but the perfect cinema. One day she broke free and her eyes fell upon her saving grace. She had instantly fallen in love with Romeo. With all forces working against them, they seemed to make a relationship blossom. Until that one day emerged. Screaming and crying, they were ripped apart by the people that call themselves the law. Locked behind bars, she had hit rock bottom. She knew she had no where else to turn. She was staring death in the face. Juliet promised herself that this would be the last time, but the last time was just enough to flatline. However, she had never loved another human being as quite much as she loved Romeo and she was indeed sorry for all of his pain. She would have wanted him to know that. So long, Juliet. You shall be missed. Stay strong, Romeo. You can make it through. And to all those that broke little Juliet-fuck you.
