金継ぎ (Kintsugi)

She fell down to one knee
The earth cracking gently
Beneath her as she gasped
Displacing the sand around her
and clasped one hand to her lungs
The other holding herself up
Holding the weight she carried
Half sunk into the sand
As Rain drops fell from her eyes
Which held visions of him
While she let out a heart breaking scream
Until she feel she may collapse
Gasping for air to return to her
Make her whole again
Then she screamed even louder
Out across the ocean
Into the sun setting
A tranquil scene
Of pain, and twisted feelings
and beauty...
Her friend standing close by
Unsure how to help her
Placing a hand gently on her shoulder
As the woman raised her left hand
The sunset reflecting of gold
Off her finger
As she clawed to take the ring off
Standing up with all her strength
Holding the ring she threw it
Watched it disappear into the sun
Into the sounds of the ocean
The sounds of peace
Broken by another yell
Straight from her heart
Her friend hugging to her
As she stared, sun reflecting
Golden in her eyes and tears
A look on her face of a broken woman
Who wished to be fixed.
