To whom that awaits in the shadows
� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � goodnight
I can no longer harbour your anger
nor inflict your burden upon others

there shall be no more horrors
� � � � � � � � � � �no more pain
the madness must cease
a great sleep awaits this retched soul

wash away my demons in these tears
cast away like forgotten grains of sand
swept aloft and buried by the winds
I don't want forgiveness � � � I want peace

"I don't want forgiveness I want peace"....I couldn't've said it better. Reminds me of a verse from the Book of Revelations (I'm paraphrasing here, as usual):

"...and there shall be no more death, no more sorrow and no more crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away..."

winter brings me dark moods. Sometimes there's just too much reflection, too much introspection. We seek rest from the voices of the past. Acutely felt work, Mr. Case. Here's to hoping we can both find that peace within.
