Unfathomable Life

This world teaming with unfathomable life
inciting all to wonder and amazement
has humbled me and suddenly I am so insignificant
my tears seem comical in their incompetence.

Emotion is the invisible invader which inspires
creation and destruction as
a blank page set before me like promised candy-
I am drawn.

Pride in appearance and sound stirs
bile surfacing, squelching my desires of
daydreams in the grandeur of egotistical therapy
silencing the captor of my soul.

Motives to be dissected and displayed
in loneliness scream at reality's
desire to care, contemplate and disperse
creation, justification and acceptance.
