Angels...Demons...and Heros Among Us

I saw him...
slide out of the shadows
unseen...so it would seem

As he made his way...
to the sound of... her voice

Dispair...has a certain tone
that pierces the soul you know

and right before her abuser took that
last swing.... that final blow
that surely would have killed her

He came
and changed everything.

I saw it
I know

Then I saw her...
appear... in the middle of a crowd
near the busstop...

where two children were playing
not paying attention, and sure
as I breathe she was right behind
the girl...
Pulling her out of harms way
On coming traffic was no match
For the strength I saw...
Pouring out of this petit woman's
arms... as she pulled this child to safety

wearing a faded t-shirt
with a blue baseball cap

As Onlookers squawked and gawked
she just smiled...snd dissapeared
into the crowd...

I also remember...

when I saw... it
disembodied.... and foul
 
Climbing into an all
too familiar soul

I remember the day she
got taken over by something
that was not her...

I remember praying
hearing that foul thing
scream at me to stop praying

and I was 12.

I have seen so much...
almost too much...
Till I was told who I am
and why I exsist at all...

I am a Watcher...
In the WatchTower Of Humankind
Sending out SOS messages when needed
