The Nursery Rhyme Diaries: Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat, like a wall
stoic, he didn't move towards love's call
so afraid betrayal, would make him fall

All the 'Queen's hoarseness
from all that begging
as it would appear
couldn't open Humpty to love again

Yet, with time,
she eased his soul
heart n' mind,
Humpty was happy
grateful for her love n' attention
it seemed she possessed
a special love of a different kind

Humpty Dumpty, stood set to fall
to his death, from ten stories high
because heartbroken he wished to die
after his Queen left him empty
n' feeling nothing at all...
