Never Boring
Life is as complex as the stars that make up the night sky, at times as dark as the emptiness that draws your eye, at times it burns when flames of pain are roaring, but it's never dry and it's never boring, and the things that you've seen, from serene Italian Lakes to ground shaking quakes the world is amazing yet destructive in every path it takes, a path that will lead you through awful aches and lucky breaks and it all culminates in a scary thought. What happens when it all ends?
Well I can guarantee you you're not the only one that's felt that fear, and being scared of how near or far the end may be, is normal, trust me, but whether you're a teenager or an OAP, believe you me, the key is to leave behind a legacy,
Whether it be the saving of a life, or the smile of your loving wife, you don't need to invent a cure for cancer to be a hero, you merely need to make a difference, and I can rest assured that I have made a difference, not as much as I'd'd like to, but I have, I have taken friends from the brink of collapse and stood them on their feet, I have shown them a path to happiness and left them to complete it, I haven't saved the world, Africa is still poor and war still rages but I have made an impact, I'm not arrogant, I'm just content,
at times the world has an uncanny way of throwing your attempts at good straight back in your face, you may come to a point where the very person you installed confidence in comes back to steal yours, but be sure that this is just a test, a test that they may do their best to make sure you fail but you will not bail, because you, just like the world, are as complex as the stars, and burn as bright as their flames are roaring and you are never, ever boring.

first of all,i like it.your writing is good.
But i don't agree with you on that Africa is Still poor statement!
Have you ever been to Africa or just hear about it on CNN?because you seem misinformed!
if by poor you mean slums,poverty diseases,unemployment and whatever else that the word poor does house;then the whole world is poor!because all those things or factors are found in every continent,whether it has super powers nations in it on not.
so no,my continent Africa is not poor,our GDP or Net worth or the statistics may not read as high as where you come from,but they certainly don't read poor!

Sorry you read it in that way. It was a very general statement to tie in with the general global perception that there is an issue with poverty in PARTS of Africa, as I appreciate there is everywhere. I just felt Africa was the most well known example and worked well with the flow of the poem. And as for the line on war. 'War still rages' was a general observation and not one made specifically about Africa or any other continent. Sorry if any of this caused offence but hopefully I've cleared up what I meant by it :) . Thanks for your comment and your constructive criticism :) .

yeah we hear it all the time,Africa this, Africa that,so yeah, whether its the 'most well known example'; i believe there are issues of poverty in your continent too.so maybe you will consider using it as an example next time, whether it flows well with your prose or not.

Very good!! I like the comparison that you made, from the complex world to the complex individuals of the world, that's what makes it never boring. Thanks for sharing.
