Mother my Earth.

The air is fresh from the filter of her clouds. Her stars shine anew from the washing of the rain. The diamonds of time. The spaces between the stars so much blacker than I've ever seen them. And that one particular star that I watch every night has a wash of white like I've never seen before.
I am sure the ring of mist around it is growing larger by the night.

From out of view the flash of her taking snapshots from the horizon.
I can no longer hear the thunder.

Her breeze gently runs its cotton fingers across my skin. So many sweet touches across my back. Over my shoulders. Caressing my face. I know She is smiling. I feel her. Her gentle whisper so sweetly suggesting that I close my eyes. I feel new born with the unwavering nurture of her. My Mother Earth.

She gave us rain not long ago. The heavens muse for rebirth. She now has sent it east to wash other lives clean for them. She has hushed the breeze to my side. She lifts me. Just for a second. I feel her carry my weight. Though ever so gently keeps my feet on the ground. She would never have me fall.

I close my eyes and realise I have never before seen so clearly. The night birds slide onto the surface of the water down the hill. The trees bending in a dance that leaves me intoxicated. The ebb and flow of true love. The soft clapping of the leaves applauding her compose. I feel dizzy and dreaming. Though I am crisply awake.

She breathes life into my soul. She strokes my heart, bidding me to rest with her. A million tiny voices sing me a lullaby of love. The falsetto of the sweet cricket. A firefly dances before me. Back and forth. My little sister soars so high. Settling like a snowflake to the ground at my feet. I kneel in front of her and she doesn't move away. I thank her by remaining still. If she will dance so a beautiful dance. I will gaze on her in gratitude for her gift. She is holding the beat of my heart. Reminding me to slow it's rhythm. I thank my tiny sibling for her trust. She rises and lands on my shoulder. For half a minute, yet a lifetime it feels.  She blinks her light in quickly increasing intensity. I am sure I feel warmth from her in this cool breeze. She floats away in her Mothers hand.

Tears well in my eyes. I cry in sobs. I remain on my knees on  the soft blanket my Mother laid for me. My tears flow and the breeze against my cheeks leave tiny slivers of ice like fingers down my face.

My world. My day. My night. All these the trinkets. The jewels of my Mother.

She is telling me that I am home. She wants me to stay. She tells me it is time to sleep. That it is time to rest my thoughts. I go inside to lie on my bed. I close my eyes. I remember the beauty I have just been shown. I jump back up and go outside for one more look. She sees my disappointment that She has now drawn the curtains across the stars once more. She looks at me with a stern love in her eyes. You must rest she is telling me. My heart pleads for one more look at her diamonds. She pulls the curtain just a little. One, two, three jewels. They blink at me in mischief. They too know I should be at rest. Then She threw one across those three. Through the clouds it flew. Lighting the clouds in it's flight.

I stood stunned at what she has done for me once again. The curtain slid closed once more. I stood still. Again her breeze whispered in my ears. Now sleep.

I lay down on my bed. Excited from her showing. Just for me. I close my eyes once more. She cares. This is her nature. This is her way. I am listening my dear Mother. I am listening..
