When I'm Sitting Here

Sometimes When I'm sitting here
Surrounded by the sounds of Denver,
I close my eyes and disappear,
Like I'm the Great Pretender.
I think of how the time has passed,
And if your Love is still the same.
Did You find yourself out there, at last?
I wonder if or how you've changed.
I know that I don't always write,
And I hope that you'll forgive me.
There's a Stranger in my eyes,
And I can feel it pulling me.
But you don't have to worry, Babe,
Cause while I'm sitting here in Denver,
I hear your voice through all the craze,
And I start to remember.
I think of how we used to laugh,
And how your smile makes me shiver.
How your Heart would promise this and that,
and then your Love delivered.
It's something I don't understand,
This Stranger inside my bones.
It pushes me from loving hands,
Tells me I'm better alone.
But here You stay a part of me,
While the others just fade away.
I guess you're more than I can see,
You're, really, more than I could say.
So smile while you're reading this,
Cause you've got someone that Loves You.
I may not hold the key to bliss,
But I always think of You.
Maybe when You find your self,
Maybe when I find mine,
We could find the Love we always talked about,
But were always too blind to find.
