The Kiss
It is dark, the air is thick with sorrow
I can see a man through the heavy mist
He is on a mission, he cannot wait until tomorrow
His body shakes, nature’s cold lips have given him a kiss
A kiss of death that cannot be undone
Unless traded with one he loves more dearly then all of heaven and earth
His love, his wife, she has been cursed
He avoids the pain of death, by bestowing it upon her
A terrible fate, for which there is no cure
That was twenty years ago, and now he is old
He has lived alone, with no one to hold
Alone and depressed, he lived a miserable life
Until the day death beckoned him once more
An angel of darkness, shrouded in black
Fell through the mist, and gave him a chance
To kill himself, and repay his sins
He moves swiftly through the mist
His aged body, has a renewed thirst
As he walks, I follow with haste
I must see how this ends
His body disappears in an instant,
Splash, splash,
he plummets into the abyss
I stand in shock, what have I witnessed,
When on the back of my neck, I feel a kiss
I can see a man through the heavy mist
He is on a mission, he cannot wait until tomorrow
His body shakes, nature’s cold lips have given him a kiss
A kiss of death that cannot be undone
Unless traded with one he loves more dearly then all of heaven and earth
His love, his wife, she has been cursed
He avoids the pain of death, by bestowing it upon her
A terrible fate, for which there is no cure
That was twenty years ago, and now he is old
He has lived alone, with no one to hold
Alone and depressed, he lived a miserable life
Until the day death beckoned him once more
An angel of darkness, shrouded in black
Fell through the mist, and gave him a chance
To kill himself, and repay his sins
He moves swiftly through the mist
His aged body, has a renewed thirst
As he walks, I follow with haste
I must see how this ends
His body disappears in an instant,
Splash, splash,
he plummets into the abyss
I stand in shock, what have I witnessed,
When on the back of my neck, I feel a kiss
