Blinded (no more)

My foundation has been cracked
Spirit broken, Walls of Jericho
Falling to ruins, crumbling, tumbling down
Contrivance of my damnation
Has blotted out all that is pure in me
Taken away the on true thing
That makes all the difference in my world
Stripped from it right out my naked heart
Quickly its been torn apart
Pieces thrown about far and beyond
Blinded from where I stand
Reach out with my hands to catch a glimpse from where I am
Feeling my way around
Searching for myself

Seeking out life
In this cold dense sphere
Only to find the breath of death
Chocking me from a world I know
I see his face it has no place
Eyes that selfishly stare, cold and steep
Knows the truth in me is clear
Keeping me hidden here

Searching and searching and searching
Thru my forest
Searching and searching and searching
Thru my valley
Searching and searching and searching
Aimlessly

Calling out with unseen candles that have been burned out
Blinded from the light
Calling out with the language of my scream
Calling out for the sound of truth
Listening for his hallow ring


Salvaging salvation
With what little I have left in me
Trifling monuments of that which is futile to my spirit
Rejecting their degraded wretchedness
Regaining foothold upon my foundation
Faith providing mortar
Reconstructing pillars to thy soul
Piecing together my world
Ive searched high and low for
Walls of Jericho, holding it up
Allowing my river to flow thru the canyons
Into my batismal fire
Reignite my candle glow
Blinded no more
