on hips of rose valor  
I adorn
eternal typeface  
upright speaking
lights above  
swung for movement
oscillating through
the blood  
height seeking  
crumpled old men
to cash in at the nearest  
heartache trust
deep pockets averting  
eye contact
I burn invisible
black flames eloping  
with white smoke
a skyline borrowed
nugatory numbers floating
between heavy particles  
fragmented monoliths  
towering
twisted metal all upward
the world as stranger  
dessicated in the ethos
of another book
lining a well articulated  
skeleton
tell the bluejays  
they are just visiting
now
and remind the waters  
of never-receding history
I can barely breathe
