My pillow has your name
Remembering yesterday
But it seems so far away
The press of your kiss on my lips
My head at rest on your chest
My memories seem more like a dream every day
When I lay my head down at night
My arms need something to hold
So I clutch my pillow tight
Close my eyes
Remember yesterday
Picture that sweet smile on your face
But now you've gone away
And my pillow has your name
My whispers in the dark
They go unheard
My tears are only caught
By satin shades of gray
Remembering yesterday
But you're so far away
So my pillow has your name
Only the lonely beats
Of my own broken heart
Keep company under these sheets
There's so much still left
Between you and me
But here I am
Alone with fading memories
Remembering yesterday
My head at rest on satin gray
My pillow has your name
I've stopped trying to think of things
That might bring you back to me
I've settled for lonely days and
I only speak your name to satin gray at night
I no longer lay and wonder
Where I went wrong or why you're gone
I just pass the lonely nights
Remembering yesterday
Listening to my own whispering
When I call my pillow by your name
You've gone away
Now my pillow has your name
But it seems so far away
The press of your kiss on my lips
My head at rest on your chest
My memories seem more like a dream every day
When I lay my head down at night
My arms need something to hold
So I clutch my pillow tight
Close my eyes
Remember yesterday
Picture that sweet smile on your face
But now you've gone away
And my pillow has your name
My whispers in the dark
They go unheard
My tears are only caught
By satin shades of gray
Remembering yesterday
But you're so far away
So my pillow has your name
Only the lonely beats
Of my own broken heart
Keep company under these sheets
There's so much still left
Between you and me
But here I am
Alone with fading memories
Remembering yesterday
My head at rest on satin gray
My pillow has your name
I've stopped trying to think of things
That might bring you back to me
I've settled for lonely days and
I only speak your name to satin gray at night
I no longer lay and wonder
Where I went wrong or why you're gone
I just pass the lonely nights
Remembering yesterday
Listening to my own whispering
When I call my pillow by your name
You've gone away
Now my pillow has your name
