Where Is My God?

darkness creeping in my soul
I'm watching the lights go out
there is no hope
we've lost the way
and as we wander into the night
i look into the heavens
and there I scream,
"Where is my God?"

The sun is gone
I watched the pages of my life
as they burned to ashes
i left in the middle of the night
rode away from it all
lightning flashing in the dark
and when I lost You I screamed out,
"Where is my God?"

Where is my God?!

spiraling downward into grief
I have nothing left to live for
there is nothing here for me
and echoing in the clouds
whispering throughout the land
I screamed and the world did hear,
"Where is my God?"

Where have you gone?

I fought for so long
this blade rusted with love's blood
where have we gone wrong?
these efforts were in vain
there is no light on this day
I'm exhausted, We lost the fight
and finally I fall out of sight
"Where is my God?"

A chilling deep within my soul
the world around us has gone cold
I kneel before the face of defeat
there's nothing left in these eyes
and softly now I cry,
"Where is my God?"

Why did You abandon us?
Where have You gone?
