Lilith

Created from rock and sand, in the image of one.
Equal, we are and shall be.
You have no hold over me, and I no hold over you.
Find a little pet that'll lie beneath you.
I am not a tool, or something for you to use.
You call me darkness.
You call me night.
You curse my existence.
And so I take flight.
Complain that I will not listen to you.
And have me banned away, into the night.
Replace me with a submissive little pet made from your flesh and bone.
Your names remembered in marble.
Mine remembered in shame.
Casted away from beauty and from the light.
Because I refuse to be anything but an equal to you.
Look me in the eyes.
Do not turn from me.
Look me in the eyes.
I shall be heard, mark my words.
I will have my revenge.
Do not spew lies about me, for I am not the monster you describe.
I am a victim to your dominance when I did nothing but love you
What a shame, is it not?
That it came to this.
I'll send a serpent in your bed, and see where your submissive's pet apple blooms red.
She'll taste the sin and drink it's blood.
And you'll sip the necter, and take it in.
And I'll remain in darkness, my children casted away in light.
A whore to the monster, not an essence of fright.
Farewell to your garden, your happy, happy life.
For I have taken my revenge, taken flight.
My name is Lilith, Adam.
And I am the night.
