The Observer

Sitting in the corner,
In the darkness that keeps
Me in touch with reality

I see the pain of others,
Without experiencing
The trials before me

To be alone in my thoughts,
Void of divination
And the lies of heresy

I myself can see the light,
The blinding darkness
Of self-fulfillment

As we search for a purpose,
A hope to grasp
With such little faith

We turn every stone,
Looking for the truth
and purpose to live

Sucking our happiness,
The wraith of life
Tears every hope of faith

So I sit here in the corner,
Laughing at those searching
When it sits there in plain sight

The meaning they so long,
Is the truth buried
Hidden in the shadows of their minds
