swim
my aptitude
despite
a reveler's belly
somehow
whisk
within inches
of urchins
spiky sting
once my teenage son
actually
jumped on me
when he realized
those monsters
were in his proximity
and still
I did not sink
low enough
to receive
mini
sea beast`s
toxicity
I`m seemingly
born
into that
drenched territory
yet flop
un-breathing
on a common
city street
depleted
from the normal way
people are processed
and treated
if I remain
I`ll be defeated
where can I find
where inhabitants
are blind
uncaring
of the repository
where I was born
and refined
see past
my garish outsides
and realize
I can glide
like the Rays
and alternatively
provide

Usually friends...not family...somehow blood turns on You quicker...I've never quite figured that one out...we've always been told different...and ive heard those tales often...yet that's not what I've experienced...I think family have too many of the same triggers...nobody's voice grates like fam. :)

I believe that Family turning on one another is a kind of survival mechanism. There is reduced risk in the consequences because we love each other unconditionally.
Perfect example are teenagers. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! (and the gonads that created you!)
But really --- I think their rage against parents is a kind of safe-proxy rage which will
bring them relatively little injury. Treat someone who doesn't give a shit about you like a prick and you could end up in traction --- or worse.
