Dust to Dust

God have Mercy
on the souls
of those who left
without a goodbye
to their beloved
they never knew

God have Mercy
on those who were left
scarred by their ordeal
traumatised by the winds
that swept their beloved
away from them

God have Mercy
on the torn land
not by the hands of man
but by that they lived on
the air, the water, the soil
they were innocent

God have Mercy
on us all
for how ever high and strong
we scream of our might
as sovereign of the Earth
we are mere dusts.
