Mommy Dearest

Right, Mother?

Would you one day,
look at me,
as the child you've
bared?

Instead of
averting those eyes,
similar as mine,
yet without love,
or care.

Right Mother?

For I am,
and still searching
for that motherly love,
everyone keeps talking about.

Explain to me,
talk to me,
your dead daughter.
what are they talking of?

Oh Mother

I know I am,
the child you never wanted,
or expected
to live.

But as I am now,
I'm still waiting,
patiently,
for that love,
you were suppose to give.

Oh Mother.

Am I a bother?
Did you want a son,
instead of a daughter?

Have you heard,
the whispers of the neighbours,

"Look at that woman,
she'll sleep with those who pay her.
"

Right, Mother?

In this neighborhood
of christian homes,
You call me the demon child.
If I could succeed to kill myself,
would you feel better?

Would you feel good?
Would you feel saint-er?
Even though you're
the forgotten mistress of the Pastor?
You thought I wouldn't hear?
How little about me do you know?
I guess,
either way it won't matter.

Right, Mother?
