Believe
Ultimately I’ll swallow my being
By this underlying rage.
This calm you see before you is a mask you’re seeing.
I just can’t seem to quell it with time’s aging.
The question why is this happening to me?
I can’t help but to ask it.
I can’t make the chaos stop destroying thee.
I’m sitting motionless behind this veil to bask in it.
Running in the wilderness of despondence,
Wanting to end this feeling of weakness,
But I can’t stop believing in its chaotic significance.
I’m searching to drag out this sadness.
Every time I lull my pain to sleep
Its stigma burns to remind me of its madness.
Ashes from my heart descend deep
Into a valley of forgotten vastness...
