She breathes in the aroma
Of broken glass.
The glass melting,
But her mouth waters for the
Cut of glass.
The spoon burns,
But the pain is worth the flight.
High into the air,
Higher and higher
She goes.
He watches her fly,
He cringes inwardly in despair.
He turned that lovely girl,
Into nothing but glass and air.
She begins to lose altitude,
She's coming down
From being up so high.
"Please just one more taste?"
She pleads.
The devil smiles;
The demons prepare,
For that one more taste,
Will rip her from the air.
Of broken glass.
The glass melting,
But her mouth waters for the
Cut of glass.
The spoon burns,
But the pain is worth the flight.
High into the air,
Higher and higher
She goes.
He watches her fly,
He cringes inwardly in despair.
He turned that lovely girl,
Into nothing but glass and air.
She begins to lose altitude,
She's coming down
From being up so high.
"Please just one more taste?"
She pleads.
The devil smiles;
The demons prepare,
For that one more taste,
Will rip her from the air.
