Life By My Pen

I wish I could be like Jane Austin and live by my pen
And relax and catch my breath every now and again

I say I write for the thrill, and for the high,
Yes that’s the truth but its also a lie

I live by the words and the words flow through me
It churns like my blood, on a constant journey

The reason I don’t though, is because writing is the cheapest of expensive gifts
It’s the smoothest and sexiest of guitar riffs

Its cheap because it costs you nothing,
Its expensive cause it cost you time
It’s the work and no pay that makes it a crime

Meticulously constructing the structure of flow, I take pride in my literary abilities
I embrace all compliments, critics and criticisms, If you can’t understand my words I’ll be happy to explain
From the love I’ve received seems like the locals feeling my style,
But what about the feds? And is it possible for me to gain international favor…
see I’m trying to go global with this shit, place my book on ever shelf,
have a copy ready for shelves that haven’t even be made yet
I couldn’t imagine a more satisfying way to make a living, earn a living
to live by your pen to let it bleed green ink,  
No stress when clearing your debt, cause you’re paying it off with your passion
Jumping from job to job, mills to plants to factories
Decorating your career titles with names such Engineering Assistant, Costumer fulfillment specialist, Quality control Engineer …
This is just existence, still entrapped to social economical slavery
Providing for myself with my pen is true fulfillment, absolute liberation , life everlasting
