The Grudge

It’s complicated, it’s complex, it’s deceitful and holds no truth,
it may seem to make all look possible, but it is something that I never choose to achieve,
this life was created but was it planned or destine to be, is your love due payment for not asking me to live,

would you be happier without me,
would you even be here without me,
would you have purpose without me,
would you even be alive without me,

you stay mad at me for things I would have never done to begin with, your disappointed at the decisions I have made,
my choices that were never mine for the choosing,
and your upset at the man that has put a shadow over the boy you loved so much and who’s life with never return,

you want to be mad well stay that way,
I did not ask for this life,
I did not ask to speak, to walk, to give, to hate,
or to love but I’m here and so you must cope,

I live the days and I sleep the nights I cry the tears and I fight this fight called life,
I’m losing this fight because of who I have been made to be, this sweet drink has a bitter after taste of pain, suffering, struggling, drama, karma, and death,

if I am the reason your made I apologize,
if I’m the cause of your pain I’m sorry,
but since I’m here the choice is mine to hold a grudge for making me the cause/effect of all that troubles you,

I live which may not be how it was intended, all the problems and chaos is what you made in me,
so if you want to be mad at this life I did not choose, stay mad but it is I who will hold The Grudge.
