The Wall's Call (Beirut Memorial)
On this day in October 23rd, 1983, 241 Marines and sailors from the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit were killed by terrorist bombings in Beirut. 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment lost many of their own that day.
