Freaky stories: Home alone

weird day
late night
thoughts scattered
almost running over a little girl
who disappeared into thin air
gosh, she needed to relax
all she wanted to do was to take a long, hot bath
and sleep
since her husband was out of town -
on "business" -
she didn't have to cook
so she filled her bathtub to the brim (something she would wish she hadn't done) ,
threw her clothes on the floor
and slowly sunk into the water

relaxation had now consumed her
until she heard the bathroom door
gently opening
she sat up and as she looked at the doorway
her eyes fell on a little girl
the same girl that she thought she might have ran-over
dark brown hair pasted on her head
black, obsidian eyes boring into her soul
pale skin rotting away
dirty, green dress ripped to shreds
this little girl just stood there, staring at her
no words were said
not even a smirk was seen

she didn't know what to do
she was paralyzed with fear
and then she felt something sticky running down her face
she brushed a finger across her cheek
and it returned with a smeer of thick, black liquid
her eyes were leaking some unknown substance
she remembered the little girl on the doorway
and she looked up again, but the girl was gone
trembling, she tried to wash the black thing off her face
she felt a strong force pushing her head beneath the water
she tried to fight it off, only there was nothing to fight off
she tried to scream, but she couldn't breathe

just as she was giving up
she saw the little girl lying next to her in the bathtub
then she heard a voice in her mind screaming,
"DON'T LOOK INTO HER EYES!"
but it was too late

that night she went missing
no one knew of her whereabouts
there weren't any clues as to where she could be
she just simply . . . vanished
