You and I

You

Within the pages of my Poems
You breathe in your life
Within the pages you grace
Your shape emerges
Like a phoenix
From the ashes of yesterday
You speak of Lifetimes
In the constellation of Stars
Wishing in the pages of a book
Listening for a bell
Ringing from distant spires
You talk of being Lost
In the valley of Dreams
Of Flying the Sky
and Finding Heaven
Dance to the Moonlight
and going Home.

I

I waltz slowly to the music
Of my rhyme and reasons
Listening for discordant
Voices within myself
I twirl like a doll
On a music box
Beauty in Solitude
Fixed smile on my face
Hiding sadness and sorrow
Grief and despair
I just dance
To the tinkling sound
Watching the stars
From my barred windows.
