Gamblers’ wish for Kisses
It was wishes for kisses
And everything nice
When weepy sky reigned
With ankle deep mud
On a field of congregations
Lolly worshippers
On a cold Sunday Morning
eking a living from cooled sweat
plucking from thin air
the meaningful cheer
a fistful for some
and empty hands for most
dice fell, on hardened souls
against hungry disappointed wards
silence of famishment in the homes.
