MY PRIVATE MOMENTS

Those valuable private moments when, you just stop and gather your thoughts
There’s so very much going on in the world, both your brain and your body are taut

In some distant lands across this world, there’s no water, or places to live
But as we enjoy all our comforts of home, they rely just on what will give
     
Our own little island supposedly rich, in resources and bullion reserves
And in spite of our armies, and people who work, no-one gets what they rightly deserve

Programmed to do, and not ask why or who, just do it and don’t make a sound
Events will unfold as the people get bold, and be blessed with resilience abound

As people we love private moments for us, they help us to think our way through
And often the truth when it’s there in our face, we just don’t accept that it’s true

Our lives are constructed by families, and when the going begins to go wrong
We use lots of our private moments, in hope that again we’ll be strong

The world is a constantly changing place, full of conflict hatred and strife
But I try to use private moments to see, if some good I can make of my life
     
So much pain in this world it’s disgusting, I know that one day it will stop
The folks on the ground they will change things, not the fools who are sat at the top

Across all the world you will hear it, people trying with words just to say
Take time to have your private moments, and use them for you every day
