Was love enough to break this curse?
Only in the children’s version
So I’ll tell you what really occurred

They came to the castle prepared for a fight
They’d already hung a noose around his neck
A war they wanted and a war we’d give
It was hunker down time and hunker we did
We gathered our supplies to battle their pitch forks and knives
They didn’t see us coming
Expecting to win but how wrong they were
Love conquers all is what we’ve been told
True or untrue I guess we’ll see
Can our love so true conquer their crew?

Our fight has begun
Swishing and swaying our swords flow
Clinking against their unworthy weapons
A fight to the death is at our hands
Our love on the line, they’ll regret this decision in time
My dress torn to shed’s from this battle of ours
Lamps and chairs broken and battered
Enchanted helpers shattered and beaten
But fight to the death and death they have earned
Blood spilling against this cursed castle

Broken mirrors, tobbled dressers litter this foyer
Torches running wild; soaring through the air
Draperies ablaze engaging more with our rage
Grunting and groaning as right hooks are given
Until every last villager is down on the ground
The enchanted carriage taking them back to town
We light our fire and burn it completely down
The only ones left
Are us and our dear enchanted friends

But it seems love’s conquered all
As my Beast is restored (and so have they all)
We ditch this place in search of the wicked curser
To set her aflame and together-
We’ll live of our love filled with rage
