genetics

i guess
you could just call it honesty
i don't want
for once i really need
to not let all this hate
hold me tighter
than the lover
i never thought i'd ever know

666

yeh those were not the days

sometime after
the license plate game
asthma
a brother with a broken skull
the one time i left the doc's office
early
just to try
to start the nissan sentra standard
without much know how
bumped the barrier
just to hear a lil classic rock
sorry moms
pops
you were the man back then
even if i did'nt know you well

you
yeah you

almost famous
made me want to be
now a lil tiny dancer
would save my fuckin life
funny how
a marlboro in the summer sunshine
reminds me of being in love with autumn
the pre stages of mesothelioma
really are
the pride before the fall

named my first son after
a man i once hated
and a dead friend
both i hope
to be anything like now
