In Case you’re Wondering Bout Me

       You want to know how I been? What I been up to? And what I’m doing? Well it’s nothing you don’t already know.
      
        I still make words dance on paper, words that then travel through eyes and ears to dance on your heart, you call this poetry I call it life.
      
        I still have moments when I swing my dreads for no reason, maybe cause I think I’m cute, or maybe cause they’re really blocking my sight
      
        You will still catch me riding to the mellow sounds of Gavin Degraw, James Morrison, and John Mayer, I still rock out loud and all to myself cause I know I rock regardless.
      
        Yeah that’s right I still pretend to know kung fu, karate, and tai chi, for I am my own martial arts master.
      
        I still swing empty bottles and sticks acting as if I am a Jedi Knight, and yes I still make the light saber noises too.
      
        Yeah I still love Lord of the Rings, Pulp Fiction, Chronicles of Narnia, and Avatar, and I can’t wait for the next Twilight movie, yeah I said it.
      
        I’m still bumpin the smooth sounds of Badu, Lauryn Hill, and D’angelo, for they will always be a part of me.
      
        I’m still a diehard Boston Celtics fan, and yes Paul Pierce is still The Truth.
      
        I still love One Tree Hill, got all 6 seasons now and waiting for number 7, don’t care what no one else thinks, and I’m mad Lucas and Peyton are still not back on the show.
      
        I still have a One Tree Hill playlist for my Ipod, I still bite, snore and slob, and have my Dragonball Z moments where you’re likely to be blasted by a vicious Kamehameha Wave or an evil Final Flash Attack.
      
        I still got some of the best loving you may ever get in this lifetime. Like I said its nothing you don’t already know. I’m still me, though the world has changed bits and pieces I’m still here, and if the next woman can’t handle all of this than she won’t be the next woman not for me.
