Sea of doubt

Swirling around in sea foam,
Feels like being covered in loam,
Confusion surrounds like a heavy fog,
As if walking through a marshy bog,
Just trying to get through,
Afraid of not knowing what to do,
Feeling so lost and delirious,
Losing reality's grip is becoming serious,
Senses dulled and numbed,
Depths of the soul plumbed,
Repairs needed,
Hope feels conceited,
Still knowing there is a light,
That glows in the gloom of night,
Loneliness is no longer a friend,
Being myself is where I will transcend,
Knowing my weaknesses and faults,
Can help open up the guarded vaults,
Open up to the light of life,
Learn to deal with any strife,
March on to better things,
Be happy like a bird that sings.
